原子力発電は推進されるべきでしょうか？
Should nuclear power generation be encouraged?
3 key-words: clean and environmentally friendly, the ability of huge supply of power generation, cost-effectiveness.
特に福島原発事故後、日本で原子力発電を推進すべきかどうかは非常に議論の余地のある問題でした。危険だという意見もありますが、個人的には以下の3つの理由で推進すべきだと思います。
第一に、原子力発電は二酸化炭素を排出しないクリーンで環境に優しいエネルギー源であり、今日の地球環境を脅かす地球温暖化の問題を解決することができます。
第二に、原子力発電は大量の電力を生成します。もちろん、太陽エネルギーや風力発電などのいわゆるグリーンエネルギーや再生可能エネルギーは、地球温暖化の主な原因であるCO2を排出する化石燃料の実行可能な代替手段です。しかし、それは世界のエネルギー需要を満たすのに十分なほど安定していません。
最後に、原子力発電は、他のどの形態の発電よりもはるかに費用効果が高いです。たとえば、1グラムのウラン235は、火力発電で3トンの石炭に相当する電力を生成します。そして、それは約3000分の1の価格です。
結論として、これまで述べてきたように、クリーンで環境にやさしい、大量の発電能力と費用対効果の観点から、原子力発電を推進すべきだと思います。
It has been a highly controversial issue whether or not nuclear power should be promoted in Japan, especially after the Fukushima Nuclear Accident. Although some argue that it is dangerous, personally I think that it should be promoted for the following three reasons.
First, nuclear power generation is a clean and environmentally friendly energy source that releases no carbon dioxide, which can solve the problem of global warming threatening the global environment today.
Second, nuclear power generation generates a huge amount of electricity. Of course, so-called green energy or renewable energy, such as solar power and wind power generation is the viable alternative to fossil fuels that emits CO2, a major culprit of global warming. However, it is not stable enough to meet the demand for world energy.
Finally, nuclear power generation is much more cost-effective than any other form of power generation. For example, 1 gram of uranium 235 generates power equivalent to 3 tons of coals in the thermal generation. And, it is about 3000 times less expensive.
In conclusion, for the reasons as I mentioned so far, clean and environmentally friendly, the ability of huge supply of power generation and cost-effectiveness, I believe nuclear power should be promoted.

Similar to renewable energy such as solar and wind power generation, nuclear power generation is a clean and environmentally friendly energy source that releases no carbon dioxide caused by fossil fuels, a major culprit of global warming. With the growing threat of global warming, we must stop using fossil fuels.
Nuclear power generation can generate a huge amount of electricity. Although renewable or sustainable energy such as solar, wind, thermal power generation is a viable alternatives to fossil fuels, they are not stable enough to meet the global energy demand.
